Childhood...It's a magical time! A wonderful opportunity to discover, learn through play, establish friendships and enjoy "being a kid"! At Rogy's
Learning Place, we believe in making the most of childhood! That's why we take great steps to ensure exceptional care for the children we serve as
well as provide an educational experience for each child. We know from years of experience, that it truly makes a difference!
Rae Jeanne and Richard L. Rogy founded Rogy’s Learning Place in 1972. Their first center had 25 children and the average cost for care was $25.00 a
week. How things change!!!!! Soon after their first center opened, their daughters, Wendy Pettett and Dawn Meyer, became involved in the center
as child care teachers and later became Center Directors. Today, Dawn and Wendy are Directors of Operations/Owners. In 1992 our father passed
away, "what a great man and father," and his son Richard W. came into the business as Director of Administration/Owner. We, Jeanne, Wendy,
Dawn, and Rick are all actively involved in the business and truly love what we do. Today, we have 19 centers with over 2700 children enrolled.
We also have an executive staff of four with more than 90 years of combined experience. Furthermore, our 19 directors have an average of nearly
seven years of experience with us. Staff members are the key component in our commitment to consistency. Teachers at all facilities are encouraged
to respect the children as individuals, while promoting independence and self-control. We ensure that all children in every developmental level have
access to a large variety of materials and equipment. We provide regular progress reports regarding the social, intellectual, emotional and physical
development of your children.
Today, "Rogy's" is the largest locally owned and operated child care operation, encompassing 19 facilities in five central Illinois communities, five
in the Chicago area, and two locations in Ohio.
creative and educational programs, and of course, the outstanding care that has positioned "Rogy's" as one of the area's most respected and
well-known names in child care.
